The other day, a casual acquaintance posed a snide question about my parents' tax bracket."Do they fall within the top two percent?" she demanded.
Excusez-moi?
I mumbled that I really didn't know, (which, of course, is nonsense).
What I should have said is, "I adore tricky questions! Speaking of which, how much do you weigh?"
Now I'm craving grace and civility. To that end, check out:
1. Audrey Tatou in a gorgeous short film for Chanel.
2. A breathtaking new shoe from J. Crew.
Voila! The perfect panacea.

That is just tacky. What is wrong with people??
Ooh, Annabel, you're getting cheeky! Love it! Meow!!
p.s. That woman totally deserves it. What a rude question!
Oh for heaven's sake...what some people will ask!
The shoes ARE breathtaking! My Lorelai might need a pair...
Now I am in the mood to watch Amelie :)
Those shoes, sweet god!
I know we don't need to be "sold" No 5 but that gorgeous little film worked a charm on me and at the end I sat back in my chair and thought "Need more No 5!" ... ha ha!
What a beautiful little film - Nicole Kidman never sold No 5 to me (and I'm an Australian - I'll have to be taken out back and whipped for speaking badly of her) but this film ... oh oh oh, just sublime.
Thank you for that lovely little escape.
Jenny
